Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies, pixels, and related tracking technologies on our website to enhance your experience and gather information. Cookies are small text files placed on your device that help the website function and provide analytics information. When you visit KamakaAir.com, we (and authorized third parties) may set some cookies in your browser. These may include:

  • Necessary Cookies: These are essential for the site to operate correctly. For example, if our site has a login area or a shopping cart/quote functionality, necessary cookies will enable those features. They also may be used to remember your preferences (e.g., language or region selection) so you don’t have to set them each time. You cannot opt-out of these essential cookies as they are needed for basic operations of the site.
  • Analytics Cookies: We use Google Analytics cookies to collect information about how visitors use our site. This data includes pages visited, time on site, browser types, and referring websites. We use these insights to improve site content and performance. Google Analytics may set cookies like _ga and _gid to distinguish users and session informationcdn2.hubspot.net. The information generated by these cookies (including IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. We have configured Google Analytics to anonymize IP addresses where required by law, reducing the precision of your geolocation in analytics reports. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website and compile reports on website activity for us. (See Google’s Privacy Policy for details on how it handles the data.)
  • Marketing and Behavior Tracking Cookies: We use HubSpot on our site, which places cookies to track visitor interactions and help us tailor our marketing efforts. HubSpot’s cookies allow us to know when you revisit our site and to see what pages you visit, especially after you have submitted a form (so we can follow up appropriately). HubSpot enables us to analyze the activities of visitors and provides marketing automation (e.g., sending you a follow-up email after you request a quote)cdn2.hubspot.net. The data HubSpot collects via cookies and tracking (which may include personal identifiers like your email if you provided it, and your browsing behavior) is subject to HubSpot’s Privacy Policy. We only use this data to understand user interest and improve our outreach, not to profile you in ways beyond the scope of our services.
  • Advertising Cookies: Currently, Kamaka Air does not heavily use third-party advertising networks on our site. However, we may in the future partner with advertising platforms (such as Google Ads or social media networks) to promote our services. If we do, those platforms might use cookies or pixels on our site to gather information about your visit and other sites you visit, to show you relevant ads (this is known as interest-based advertising or retargeting). For example, a Google Ads remarketing tag could log that you visited our site, and later you might see a Kamaka Air advertisement on another website. Any such usage will adhere to applicable privacy laws and, where required, we will obtain your consent for advertising cookies. You have the ability to opt out of interest-based advertising – see Your Rights and Choices below. (For instance, Google provides an opt-out via Google Ad Settings, and industry opt-outs like the NAI opt-out for network advertisers.)cdn2.hubspot.net

How We Use Cookies: Overall, cookies and tracking technologies help us to analyze trends, administer and secure the website, track users’ movements around the site, and gather demographic information about our user base as a wholeaiim.org. Cookies allow us to recognize you and your preferences on subsequent visits (for example, to keep you logged in or to remember your last freight quote inputs for convenience). They also assist in measuring the effectiveness of our content and advertisements, if any, by seeing if certain pages or campaigns are attracting traffic.

Your Choices for Cookies: When you first visit our site, you may see a cookie notice or banner (especially if required by law in your region). You can choose to accept or decline non-essential cookies. Even if you accept, you can always manage or delete cookies later. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can modify your browser setting to decline cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Please note that if you disable cookies entirely, some parts of our site may not function properly – for example, rate calculators or login-required features might be impairedcdn2.hubspot.net.

To manage cookies:

  • Browser Settings: You can usually find cookie settings in the “options” or “preferences” menu of your browser. For more information, you can visit your browser’s help documentation.
  • Opt-Out Tools: For Google Analytics, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics. For HubSpot, you can adjust cookie preferences in our site’s banner if available, or clear HubSpot cookies via your browser.
  • Do Not Track: Some browsers have “Do Not Track” (DNT) features. Our site currently does not respond to DNT signals, because there is no consistent industry standard for compliance. However, you can opt out of personalized advertising as noted above, which achieves a similar purpose.

By using our site with cookies enabled in your browser, you consent to our use of cookies and similar technologies as described in this section. We will update our Cookie Policy disclosures if we begin utilizing any additional cookies or tracking tools not covered here.

Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. Kamaka Air implements reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destructionaiim.org. These measures include, for example:

  • Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology to protect data in transit on our website (you will see “https” and a lock icon in your browser for our site, indicating the connection is encrypted). This means that when you submit personal information or payment details, they are encrypted during transmission.
  • Access Controls: Access to personal data is restricted to authorized employees and service providers who need it to perform their duties. We employ authentication safeguards (such as passwords and, where appropriate, multi-factor authentication) to prevent unauthorized access to systems.
  • Firewalls and Network Security: We use network security solutions like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and monitoring to guard against external attacks or unauthorized access to our systems where personal data is stored.
  • Data Storage Protections: We store personal information on secure servers or cloud platforms that have robust security protocols. We ensure our service providers handling data (e.g., our hosting provider or CRM provider) also maintain high standards of security.
  • Training and Policies: Our team members are trained on data privacy and security practices, and we have internal policies to safeguard personal data and to respond to potential incidents appropriately.

Despite our efforts to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. For example, email communications may not be fully secure, so please be cautious with the information you send us via email. Kamaka Air will promptly notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law in the event of any data breach that compromises your personal information. By using our services, you acknowledge that you understand and accept these inherent risksaiim.org.

If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for instance, if you feel your account has been compromised), please immediately contact us using the information in the Contact Us section below.

Data Retention

We will retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, as described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by lawspringernature.com. In practice:

  • If you are a customer, we will keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services (for example, to deliver your shipments and handle any post-delivery issues or inquiries).
  • We retain personal data for ongoing business needs, such as maintaining records of transactions (e.g., bills of lading, invoices, and payment records) for accounting and tax purposes, or to have accurate records in case of disputes. These records may be kept for the duration required by tax law or contract (often 7 years in the U.S. for financial records)springernature.com.
  • If you contact us with a question or support request, we may retain the correspondence and your contact info for a period to assist you with the current issue and any follow-up, as well as for training and quality purposes.
  • We periodically review the data we hold and erase or anonymize personal information that is no longer needed. For example, web server logs and analytics data may be purged or anonymized after a certain time (e.g., 26 months for Google Analytics data by default, unless we set a different retention). Marketing contact information is retained until you opt-out or it becomes outdated or no longer useful.
  • If you ask us to delete your data (see Your Rights below), we will do our best to honor that request and will also direct our service providers to delete your information, unless retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

In the absence of a specific legal requirement, we determine retention periods taking into account the sensitivity of the data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, the purposes of processing, and whether those purposes can be achieved through other means. When we no longer have a legitimate need to retain your personal information, we will securely dispose of it or anonymize it.

International Users and Data Transfers

Kamaka Air is based in the United States, and our website and services are primarily targeted to customers in the U.S. If you are visiting our site or using our services from outside the United States, please be aware that your personal information will be transferred to and processed in the United States (or other jurisdictions where our servers or our service providers are located)sheppardmullin.com. • We will transfer your personal information in compliance with applicable data protection laws. This may include using Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other approved legal mechanisms to ensure that an adequate level of data protection is providedsheppardmullin.com. We remain responsible for the processing of personal data we receive under an onward transfer to a third party acting as an agent on our behalf.

Please note that information stored in the United States may be subject to lawful requests by courts or law enforcement authorities in the U.S. If you reside in a jurisdiction with data privacy laws, you may have rights to request details on the transfer safeguards (see Your Rights below for how to contact us).

You have certain rights regarding your personal information, and we offer you choices about how your information is used. These rights and options include:

  • Access and Correction: You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to receive an explanation of how we use it and who we share it with. • Data Deletion: You can request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you. For instance, we may retain certain records if required for audit or fraud prevention. If full deletion is not possible (e.g., information stored in backups), we will isolate it from further use until deletion is possible.

You can unsubscribe by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any promotional email we send, or by contacting us directly with your request. • Non-Discrimination: We will never discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
