At Kamaka Air, we’re committed to making interisland shipping simple, reliable, and convenient. Most services, quotes, bookings, payments, and tracking—can be completed online before you arrive. If you prefer, our team can also assist you in person when you drop off your freight.
What time can I drop off freight?
Cutoff times vary by route, so plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the cutoff to ensure your freight is accepted and loaded on time.
Honolulu (Daniel K. Inouye International Airport):
- To Lānaʻi City (Lānaʻi) / Hoʻolehua (Molokaʻi): 8:30 AM (Mon–Fri)
- To Kahului (Maui): 11:00 AM (Mon–Fri)
- To Līhuʻe (Kauaʻi): 11:30 AM (Mon–Fri) (space-available; subject to cancellation)
Kahului (Maui):
- To Honolulu, Lānaʻi City, or Molokaʻi: 12:00 PM (Mon–Fri)
Lānaʻi City (Lānaʻi):
- To Honolulu, Kahului, or Līhuʻe: 9:00 AM (Mon–Fri)
- To Hoʻolehua (Molokaʻi): 6:00 AM (Mon–Fri)
Hoʻolehua (Molokaʻi):
- To Lānaʻi City: 6:00 AM (Mon–Fri)

What is the drop-off time for same-day shipping?
For same-day delivery to Lānaʻi or Molokaʻi, freight must be dropped off in Honolulu by 8:30 AM.
- Book online: complete your booking before 8:30 AM and tender freight before cutoff to secure same-day service.
- Book at the counter: arrive 30+ minutes early for paperwork and processing.
When will my freight arrive in Honolulu?
Arrival times depend on flight schedules and aircraft availability.
- Use Track Freight for real-time status.
- Or ask the team at drop-off for the best estimated arrival window.
Does Kamaka Air ship hazardous freight?
Yes. Hazardous materials / dangerous goods are accepted through Special Cargo Services.
- Start the booking online and select the appropriate cargo type, or
- Bring it to the counter so staff can confirm packaging and paperwork requirements.
Does shipping hazardous freight require paperwork?
Yes. A Shipper’s Declaration for Dangerous Goods is required by law.
- Download and complete the form ahead of time, or
- Pick up a form at the counter and the team can guide you through it.
Will someone call me when my freight arrives in Honolulu?
Typically, no. Arrival calls are not routine.
Instead, track your shipment anytime via:
- Track Freight (online), or
- The automated phone service using your tracking number.
How can I track my freight?
You have two fast options:
- Online: Track Freight at kamakaair.com using your tracking number
- Phone: Call the automated line for real-time status
Are there discounts for Federal or State employees?
No. Discounts are not currently offered.
Are there discounts for nonprofit organizations?
Possibly. Special pricing may be available for nonprofits.
- Submit an inquiry online, or
- Ask the counter team to connect you with Sales.
Does Kamaka Air still fly to Līhuʻe or Kona?
- Līhuʻe (Kauaʻi): limited space-available flights (subject to cancellation).
- Kona (Hawaiʻi Island): no scheduled service; charters available on request.
Check route availability during booking or ask staff to confirm.
What are your hours of operation?
- Monday–Friday: 5:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (limited charter service)
- Sunday: Closed
Can I pay for my shipment online or by phone?
Yes. You can pay:
- Online via the Make Payment portal
- By phone using a credit card (processing fees may apply)
- At the counter at drop-off using approved methods
Tip: If you want to avoid delays, have your tracking number and card details ready before calling.
Will my shipment be delivered on Lānaʻi or Molokaʻi?
Yes. Local delivery options are available.
- Choose delivery during online booking, or arrange it at the counter.
- If you’re picking up instead, please retrieve freight within 48 hours of arrival.
How are quotes calculated?
Quotes are based on actual weight vs. dimensional weight. The greater of the two is used.
- Use Get a Quote online for an estimate.
- Final charges are confirmed when your shipment is measured and weighed at drop-off.
Can a relative or friend pick up my shipment?
Yes, with authorization.
- Add an Authorized Pickup Person during booking, or
- Provide a signed authorization at the counter.
The pickup person must present a valid photo ID.
Do I need to create an online booking before dropping off freight?
Not required, but strongly recommended.
- Booking online helps secure space, reduce wait time, and speed up check-in.
- If needed, staff can create a booking at arrival (it may take longer).
How can I get a quote for my freight?
Get an estimate online by entering your shipment’s dimensions and weight into the freight calculator on KamakaAir.com.
Prefer in-person? Visit any Kamaka Air counter for a quote.
Note: Online quotes are estimates. Final pricing is verified at check-in when cargo is tendered.
